Carlsbad Downtown Farmer's Market
| The Carlsbad Downtown Farmers Market will open the 2011 season on June 25 and will run through early to mid-October. It is held every Saturday from 8 am to Noon on the Eddy County Courthouse lawn in downtown Carlsbad. It features fresh produce, handmade crafts, entertainment, educational presenters, kids’ activities and more. The farmers’ market supports and promotes local growers by providing the opportunity to sell fresh, high quality, homegrown produce. The market also provides a central location for social interaction and information exchange vital to promoting a strong sense of community. The market joins the community effort to revitalize the historical, downtown district and encourages support of locally owned businesses. The market offers an effective means to promote the health and welfare of residents and visitors while simultaneously promoting the economic growth of our community.
